Spring is Here and Skies are Clear

Well... Spring is finally officially here. Even though there is still a bit of dirty snow on the sidewalk blocking my path to my usual lunch spot, I'm just glad it's gonna start warming up. Dunkin Donuts decided to give away free coffee today, and although we'd like to see everyone running around with copies of Hyperscore... we still gotta feed ourselves. Which leads us something exciting and new:

Hyperscore will now be exhibiting at the Square One Mall in Saugus, MA very shortly. We'll keep you all posted on how things are turning out and announce the official launch date. So you can now come by and wait in line to make a song with Hyperscore in front of everyone around you and tell us how much you love this blog.

Oh Happy Days

Well, the happiness that sprouted from the suprise flood of visitors from Germany we had this past week was sadly dampened by the far-from-dry weather. But despite the ominous clouds, sideways rain & dangerously slippery sidewalks that made coming to work today a little less exciting, I still managed to create some sunshine in the world of Hyperscore. Literally...

I decided to push the limits of Hyperscore as an Art Canvas and see what I can come up with. Since this is a family-friendly blog... (maybe) I tried to make something for the kids...

Hyperscore and Autism

I was surfing the web today and I came across this brilliant video that was produced by an autistic individual giving us an insight into life as she perceives, understands and reacts to it. It was a truly revealing and profound experience, as I am beginning to realize how people with autism are often misunderstood.

This particularly stuck me because recently we've been getting a lot of Hyperscore purchase orders from parents and teachers of autistic children. Now I can see the importance and value in the visual aspect of Hyperscore, along with the simplicity & ease of creating "music" the way we each understand it.

The President Raps

Happy President's Day to all of you who were fortunate enough to get a day off. We here at Harmony Line don't seem to believe in that kind of stuff. It starts with taking one day off, then the next thing you know it's a month off and then in exchange for some beads you start taking your clo... nevermind.

Since it's Mardi Gras, here's something for your own entertainment:

Alan Alda is my hero

Seriously, aside from playing some role on M*A*S*H (which I honestly have never seen), this guy has his own show on PBS where he gets to play with some of the most cutting-edge music technology in the world. The short segment on Hyperscore was just a ripple that resulted in a wave of traffic bigger then anything Hyperscore.com has seen all year long.

Alan Alda... We salute you.

Now we've got a ton of enthusiasts searching to try their luck at music composition. But, it seems that there's been a bit of confusion with the price of Hyperscore because of the whole Scientific American Frontiers show on TV.

Just to clarify things up a bit. The following dialogue takes place with a Hyperscore developer who shall remain unnamed... *cough* *mary* *cough* right after Alan Alda is shown admiring a song composed by a 10-year old boy on Hyperscore:

Alda: "I'll give you $50 for this program right now-cash."
Developer 1: "Actually, it's free on the web. "
Alda: "Oh, No Kidding."
Developer 1: "No Kidding."
Developer 2: "Everyone can download it."

so there ya go! we know what was said on TV!
HOWEVER... this was filmed in 2003, and Hyperscore has come a long way since then! In order to keep the development and distribution of Hyperscore alive and kicking, we had to charge for it. As a result, the Hyperscore you can get today is much more powerful, tested and developed then the one you saw on TV.

We understand that money may still be an issue for some of you, so we give away special promotional discounts whenever the CEO let's us. Since we're still high from all the holiday joy, if you try buying one now (2/12/07) and you may find a little suprise that'll save you some money so you can finally pay off that college tuition that's been looming over your head. OR prompt you to start your child's college tuition since Hyperscore may help them realize their musical genius, resulting in years of private teachers and institutions that make the cost of Hyperscore seem like a steal!!!

By the way, the community is turning out quite awesome. I'd show you a preview of what it looks like, but the Art Director would repay me with much suffering. Heh, so come back soon to see if anything comes up.

Scientific American Frontiers

Hyperscore was on TV tonight! It was featured on Alan Alda's Scientific American Frontiers on channel 209 on Comcast in the Boston area.
The episode is called "You Can Make It on Your Own" and shows some good live Hyperscore action.

It'll be playing again on
Friday, February 9 at 4am, 10am, 4pm
Saturday, February 10 at 11am, 5pm, 11pm

Cartoons Invade Boston

Well, for those of you in Boston, I'm sure you heard about the bomb scare a few days ago. If you were wondering what those "suspicious looking devices" were, here's a video I found off YouTube that explains it all!

I hope none of you hurt yourselves over this. I guess that Hyperscore L.E.D. Prop Guerrilla Marketing Campaign in Schools will have to wait...

Until then, watch out for any bomb threats in hyperscore...

Big Plans, More Work

Well the musical geniuses at Harmony Line are putting together a plan to make Hyperscore.com more musical and even more genius. Of course, this means that the web team and the marketing team need to figure out how to make that musicalness and geniusness grow on you... without being intrusive like facial hair... cause some of the ladies don't like that. Anyways, this ultimately means Hyperscore.com will birth a lot of Mozarts!

The staff here at Harmony Line decided to make a blog about Hyperscore so you can get a taste of what goes on behind the scenes. We'll also let you hear about the latest ways we can help you use that burning passion of yours to compose some music and create your very own song!
